Blue Nile

Hello friends,
This coming Saturday, we will be hitting up that Blue Nile with friends (and practice space-mates) Giant Cloud and Bionica featuring Sasha Masakowski. The show starts at 10pm and we just can't contain ourselves. We're uncontainable. Also, we have a few new songs and enticing surprises for you, so come get throwed with us. Last year, it was brought to our attention that no one here in NOLA knew what "throwed" means, so I have linked the word to it's definition. Enjoy the enlightenment. BOOM!

Free if you're 21+
$5 if you ain't.

HERE'S THE FACEBOOK EVENT. RSVP and invite your friends!

Chris Rehm solo show

Howdy there!
Just writing to let you know about a show that one half of Caddywhompus here has coming up. I don't play here in NOLA very often, so I don't feel so bad about blogging here about this. Next Tuesday, I will be playing at the Dragon's Den (upstairs) with local friends Gamma Ringo (who have some new recordings on their Myspace and Bandcamp) as well as Houston homies, Female Demand (who just got back from recording some tunes in Cali). I will be playing music that should sound like some sort of love child of my new folk stuff and my ambient work (such as the music in this video). But enough about me. Female Demand is a band I think you should meet. They are a bass and drum noise rock duo that has been sharing their ever-evolving sound with Houston and the surrounding areas for a few years now. They will win over your heart as easily as they will demolish your ears and/or steal your lover. They haven't visited New Orleans very frequently in the past, so catch this show, because they might not come back for a while. Here's a video of them playing a guerilla performance at this past Westheimer Block Party on a street corner (feelin' their style yet?). Expect this and much much more.

As of right now, we're thinking the order will be something like this (GR and I might switch):

Chris Rehm
Female Demand
Gamma Ringo

Doors at 9, show at 9:30 or so.
$5

We all hope to see you there.
